Runway:
Drake Field currently is operated with one (1) runway (Runway 16/34), along with parallel and connecting taxiways which serve the runway and provide aircraft access to the terminal and other facilities on the airport (view airport layout). Drake Field's Runway 16/34, is 6,006 feet in length, 100 feet in width and is constructed of asphalt. Runway 16/34 is used by air carrier, military and general aviation aircraft and is equipped with Medium Intensity Runway Lights (MIRL) and an Omni-directional Approach Lighting System (ODALS). Runway 16/34 has a gross weight bearing capacity of 70,000 pounds single wheel, 95,000 pounds dualwheel, and 156,000 pounds dual-tandem-wheel main gear configuration.

Runway 16: Localizer Approach with DME
Runway 34: VOR/DME; MLS; LDA/ILS

Passenger Terminal:
The passenger terminal complex at Drake Field is located west of Runway 16/34 and east of U.S. Highway 71. The passenger terminal building contains approximately 28,000 square feet of gross building area and has two (2) passenger loading gates with a common passenger holding area. In addition, the terminal building contains facilities for airline ticketing, baggage handling, rental car leasing, a restaurant, limousine ticketing, and the airport management offices.

Hangars/Airport Structures:
There are numerous public and private structures located on airport property. The majority of the general aviation facilities at the airport are located north of the passenger terminal and on the west side of the general aviation aircraft parking apron. In this area there is one (1) Fix Base Operator (FBO)/maintenance hangar, two corporate hangars, and the Arkansas Air Museum hangar. On the east side of the airport there are presently four (4) T-hangar complexes.

Fixed Based Operator:
Effective Aug. 1, 2001, the City of Fayetteville will assume FBO opperations (more info). Check latest fuel prices.

Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting Facility:
The Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) Facility at Drake Field is located north of the general aviation aprons and hangars and west of Runway 16/34. As required to serve the type and number of air carrier aircraft operations at the airport, Index A ARFF facilities and equipment are provided at Drake Field.

Air Traffic Control Tower:
The Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) serving Drake Fleld is a Level 1 facility and is located east of the Runway, northwest of the east hangar development area. The ATCT at the airport operates from 6 a.m to 10 p.m. daily.
