The City of Fayetteville, Arkansas Dear Fayetteville Citizen, As I'm sure you know, American Eagle has entered into a preliminary agreement with Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport to move its service and to serve that airport exclusively. This decision is disappointing for Fayetteville and Drake Field, but we must not feel that all is lost. We continue to be served by other excellent airlines and, for that matter, American Eagle, at least until the other airport is completed. While American Eagle had apparently made its choice, the other airlines have not Therefore, our united support of Drake Field is more important than ever. Based on the Master Plan prepared by URS Greiner, the economic impact of Drake Field on Fayetteville's economy is approximately $43 million annually. Furthermore, our citizens have come to depend on the convenience and dose proximity of our facility. If you would like to see continued air service to Fayetteville and all the benefits derived from it, I earnestly request that you express that desire individually to the air service providers who are in the process of making their decisions and to American Eagle, who still has the option to remain. The following list of names and addresses is included for your convenience. The surer the airlines are that Fayetteville's citizens are committed to Drake Field, the more likely they are to continue to serve our city.
Sincerely,
Rudy Furr
