To: Mayor Dan Coody City Council Members From: Environmental Concerns Committee Date: June 12, 2002 Subject: The 290 acre parcel located at the I-540 Bypass and Highway 112 (proposed site of the Business Technology Park) The ECC recommends that a thorough, coordinated environmental assessment be performed on this land, involving species inventory, surface hydrology, subsurface hydrogeology, and fault analysis. The ECC recommends further that as part of the mayor's economic committee concerning the proposed park, at least three representatives be chosen from such organizations as the Audubon Society, the Sierra Club, the Nature Conservancy, the Game and Fish Commission, a science department of the University of Arkansas, and the Environmental Concerns Committee. |
