It is not clear whether the internal audit relates to the previous "non-audit" of the Cox cable rate increase in 2001.More to come when data available. In 2002, the City's Cox cable subscribers received repayments totaling $109,000 as payment for overcharges that were returned as a result of an FCC ruling on a 1996-98 challenge to the previous (TCA) cable operator's rate increase. At the November 2003 Board meeting, Cox had indicated plans for a Feb. 2004 rate and program lineup change, with an updatedjustification statement and "maximum" allowable under FCC policy. Telecom Watch will list those documents and other background information on the $109,000 repayment when available.
