DISH Network Satellite Television Brings Local TV Channels to Ft. Smith-Fayetteville-Springdale-Rodgers

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 11, 2003--EchoStar? Communications Corporation (NASDAQ: DISH - News) announced today that its DISH Network(TM) now offers local TV channels by satellite television to Ft. Smith-Fayetteville, Ark. The following local TV channels are offered: ABC Ch. 40 (KHBS), CBS Ch. 5 (KFSM), NBC Ch. 24 (KPOM), FOX Ch. 46 (KPBI), and PBS Ch. 13 (KAFT). This is the first time local TV channels are available by satellite TV in the Ft. Smith-Fayetteville area, providing an alternative to local cable TV service. Local channels will be offered at $5.99 per month for DISH Network customers in Ft. Smith-Fayetteville. DISH Network also provides digital video recording technologies and high definition TV channels to Ft. Smith-Fayetteville.

DISH Network offers local channels via satellite to Ft. Smith-Fayetteville customers in 9 Arkansas counties including: Benton, Crawford, Franklin, Johnson, Logan, Madison, Scott, Sebastian and Washington. Le Flore and Sequoyah counties in Oklahoma will also receive Ft. Smith-Fayetteville local channels.

With the addition of Ft. Smith-Fayetteville, DISH Network offers local channels in a total of 94 cities and their metro areas nationwide.
