Flash: Cox Rate and program changes submitted to City on October 31,2003. Due for implementation in February, 2004, Not clear when public notification to be made or announced in subscriber bills

'Cox notified Basic-Rate Customers of rate and programming changes with the information shown below. Hard to figure exactly what's happening with the programming changes. (Clue: on the lineups the key is:(b)=Limited Basic; (e = Expanded Basic; (p)= Pay; then you get a bund of Digital keys(d-XXX). )No prices given for any services except: Limited Basic, Expanded Limited Basic; and Cox Interact, plus some equipment stuff.)

Maybe you'll have more luck at the Cox site:

https://www.cox.com/arkansas/includes/systems/sys-faye.asp

We couldn't find a price for the Basic tier anywhere, even with a phone call to Tyler, but we'll keep trying. The Update information on the Cox Basic rate decrease and lose of ESPN was taken from an announcement at the Nov.19 Telecom Board meeting.

In our look at the Cox website, as best we could tell, the lineup and TV Guide on the Cox site are both badly out of date, still carrying the old channel numbers (pre-digital).

The parent company site is: www.Cox.com , where you can surf around the different Cox holdings nation-wide. The last time we looked, they ranked nationally at fourth in the Cable Television business, third in Radio,, and tenth in newspaper ownership. We couldn't find data on their rank in the broadband world or in cable modem subscribers.
